Why I am doing a master’s in philosophy
A direct copy of my personal statement, so that I have a place to refer people who wonder why I am doing a philosophy master’s. Enjoy!

Having studied philosophy at Southampton as an undergraduate for three years now, I look toward graduation with mixed feelings. On the one hand, I am satisfied that I have been intellectually tried and tested, I have explored a wonderful subject and been fulfilled by what I have found; on the other, I feel there is so much more to know. Indeed, my studies so far, though deeply rewarding, have only scratched the surface. I want to learn more, and I believe I can offer a whole lot more, too.
